The Rotary Club of Newlands was chartered in the significant year of 1994, when South African hosted its first free and fair elections, the year of the birth of the rainbow nation.

We are one of the largest clubs in our district and we boast a vibrant membership of people between the ages of 28 – 80. Our club raises most of its funding through the management of marshals and other volunteer staff for events like the Cape Town Cycle Tour and the Cape Town Marathon to realise the vision of a country where every citizen has access to water and sanitation, education, basic healthcare, entrepreneurial opportunity and much more.
